FANTASTIC
Enjoyed every minute. Cast fantastic and the story was enthralling. We were with our 7 year old granddaughter who after just finishing the book loved it all. Much much better than we thought it could be. Thank you all for such a fantastic night

LOW BUDGET
3 of us have just returned home & all feel deflated.Went to see The lion, witch & wardrobe. The scenery was practically non existent & costumes poor. I've b en to small local productions & felt their efforts were far better. The lion puppet is good but is too solid ,it should have a shaggy main & back legs. All of the animals in the woods were not easy to identify, beavers were in boiler suits with no fur.The witch should of had a sledge .It all felt very low budget on props & customers which is a shame as the tickets aren' t cheap.I would not recommend this show.Tickets expensive and certainly no wow factor
Karen from Bristol,
IT WAS A MUSICAL
No one or no where mention this... A musical, too loud and too long. My neice cried, it was far too noisy. 2 stars for the set and puppets
Jo from Bristol,
A FAR CRY FROM THE ORIGINAL BOOK
We took our daughters (8 & 10) to see this, thinking it would be similar to the book and previous adaptations for tv. It wasn’t anything like either. At times it was very dark and creepy and my youngest daughter was terrified when the creatures with animal skulls for heads appeared. There wasn’t a warning about how much the story had been changed or that for some people, it may not be appropriate. I didn’t enjoy it much and wouldn’t recommend it for junior school children if I hadn’t known I was going to see The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, I doubt I’d have had that many clues during the performance.
Nik from Bristol,
DISAPPOINTED
My daughter (15) and I have always loved the Narnia books & films and couldn’t wait to see it on stage.. it was nothing like the original and struggled to understand some of the scenes. The characters didn’t suit the story and some of the scenes didn’t make much sense. The props were very low budget and felt more like an amateur performance. Very disappointed !

DISAPPOINTINGLY DULL
Very very average - where the current vogue for puppetry stitches magical realism onto the stage for audience of all ages (see Totoro, Life of Pi, Ocean at the end the Lane) this show is more pompous panto which fails to illuminate quite a dated novel, with some odd and repetitive music choices (how is opening the show with “We’ll meet again “ at all relevant? Samantha Womak is head and shoulders the best performance (right level of scare for kids) but Aslan is a guest appearance from the Hobbits Oakenshield, while one of the queens kilted henchmen sounds like he’s channelling his inner Gollum. The children are swamped by the camp over acting of the rest of the cast.
